Review of Crossroads (2002) by Larry Y — 29 Nov 2008
I remember when this movie came out, I refused to acknowledge its existence! But I'm glad I saw it now and not when I was 14 because it hits on such strong emotional points, and isn't a teenybopper movie at all.
I really love that the plot centers around the theme of "Not a Girl," because it was and still is one of Britney's most down-to-earth and beautiful songs. Not a perfect film or anything, but it was so much better than I was expecting, with realistic characters that I really ended up caring about.
It was also a very refreshing light to see Britney in. It makes me almost sad that she's such a crazyhead slut these days.
