Review of Crossover (2006) by Jomo W — 21 Jul 2008
Upon watching this African American, urban film, the first thought that came to mind, was "Ok, which Jew wrote this?" Corny does not begin to describe the fields of cliche lines, events and shots throughout.
However, the storyline does take some very interesting turns... in the midst of all the straight-to-DVD bullshit they managed to put a uniquely fresh twist on your typical hood drama... its formulaic, but done so very well.
some seriously quality filmmaking in there. I was either taken aback, or on the edge of my seat on numerous occasions... it managed to make me feel, which is more than most big budget films can say these days.
I'd def watch this again... if it comes on cable again.
