Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Tomasan — 11 Dec 2009
Crossing Over is a movie about everyday immigration problems in Los Angeles. They did such a good job with making the movie realistic that it just sort of takes you away. This movie was a lot like 'Crash'.
Multiple stories are intertwined into each other and resolved, its crazy how everybody links up in one way or another. I always heard about illegal immigration being a major problem, but I dont think I ever recieved a full insight of it until I watched this.
The movie was directed really well and the acting was really great! It was cool seeing old Harrison Ford again, you don't see too much of him nowadays. His job as an Immigration Enforcement Officer in this movie will really shed some light on just how difficult and out of control the immigration situation is down there in LA.
I think the realism of this movie makes it very interesting, I love movies like this. A very well crafted film. 4-starz.
