Review of Crossing Over (2009) by Bill N — 29 Apr 2009
Crossing Over is an emotional film, but made some points that was unpopular. Like the 15 year old Iranian girl who inflames her classmates on the topic of 9/11. And Harrison Ford's character Max Brogan gets involved for any show of empathy or concern for the people who have to process through immigration.
And also the Korean family who is waiting to be naturalized. and whose eldest son got involved with thugs (Gran Torino style),.
Not more to say about this movie. If it was supposed to deliver a message, it failed. If it was supposed to raise questions and awareness, it was then for some minutes successful. Some part was ok and some not.
