Review of Crooked Hearts (1991) by Matt G — 10 May 2008
Ah, the dysfunctional family drama. The middle-aged stars of today playing teen-aged kids. Why is it that dysfunctional families in the movies are always rich and better-looking than mine? Doesn't the fact that everyone is rich and good-looking infer that someone did something right? Ah well. That's Hollywood for you.
I found Jennifer Jason Leigh's character to be the most compelling of them all, and she wasn't even a member of the Warren family.
It's an okay film. Not great, but perfectly watchable. You'll find yourself saying "(actor's name) looks so young!" a few times.
