Review of Cronos (1993) by Vite M — 31 Jul 2007
Guillermo Del Toro's began his directing career with Cronos, one of his more personal films (the other two are Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth). Like those two, it features archetypes, a fantasy and real world, and a main child actor.
The story is slightly bizarre, although it won't surprise those who are familiar with Del Toro's work. With an underdevolped script and characters, I can only give this a minor recommendation.
