Review of Cronos (1993) by Ben L — 15 Jul 2008
It is a simple, small, short film which turns out to be quite an outstanding debut for the 29- year-old amateur film-maker Guillermo Del Toro, which brought him to such a high status to where he is now, making the classic Pan's Labyrinth and other major projects he is working on at the moment, such as the Hobbit. Cronos is a good effort on a Hammerhead film.
Federico Luppi and Ron Perlman provide some of the strongest images in the film. It reminds me of 'The Fly' but just a bit short of it.
