Review of Crimson Tide (1995) by Deepak T — 12 Jan 2008
Similar theme to The Hunt for Red October but explores the tension between the 'doves' and 'hawks' in US military-strategic thought more affectively. Grandiose and intelligent, great insight into the nature of modern conflict.
The insular and claustrophobic nature of the sub is expertly manipulated by Bruckheimer, making a particularly apt vessel for the conflict between Denzel and Hackman...who doesn't love to hate that guy?
