High Tension on the high seas. Captain (Gene Hackman) and 1st officer (Denzel Washington) don't like each other much, and things come to a head over an incomplete order to fire nukes on Russia. Mutiny swiftly follows and it's gripping stuff.
Nothing original admittedly. But it's how it plays that's important. And this pushes all the right action, tension buttons.
