What Del Toro can be trusted to deliver is visuals, and Crimson Peak is further proof of what he's capable of. But visuals aside, this ghostly tale, though not about ghosts but rather a twisted love story between the lead characters, is mediocre.
Nothing memorable about the performances nor do the narrative resonate.
