A horror tale not always has to have scarejumps. It's about a story of somebody terrified tries to survive the horrible events in wich is envolved. Crimson peak may not be scary for the audience, but tales a story of horror, as tetric like beautiful.
Great cast, magestic set, and beautiful edition, may not be a spectacular movie, but it's a spectacular piece of art.
