Review of Crimson Peak (2015) by Yukerayasha X — 09 Sep 2017
As I've said many times, haunted house/ghost stories are a really tough sell with me, but with Guillermo del Toro involved with this, I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. It was good but I wasn't blown away by it.
The story itself was pretty simplistic. Once you figure out what's really going on, which happens relatively early on, it takes forever to finally play itself out. GDT sure does make a creepy ghost, I'll give him that, but the story surrounding said ghosts wasn't anything incredibly original.
