Review of Criminal (2016) by Greg B — 27 Apr 2016
"Criminal" is a science fiction film about a doctor (Tommy Lee Jones) who implants the memory of a dead British intelligence agent in a convicted felon (Kevin Costner). The purpose is to help MI6 find a Dutch hacker who is in control of a program that controls the U.
S. Governments missiles. The intelligence office turns Costner loose on him to try and ascertain his location. This film had decent entertainment value but it suffers from a stilted, confusing narrative with too many plot elements and a jumbled storyline.
It is also riddled with action movie cliches and the execution itself is defined by cliches. I thought there were too many villains with too many disparate agendas which is why I thought this film was only average ------------------------------------------------- C+.
