Review of Criminal (2016) by David H — 14 Apr 2016
Preposterous. not the scifi premise of implanting memories. that's what the story is about. instead:
1. the villains are omnipotent. one can hack into any system including the CIA and monitor where anyone is at any time. the other has complete control of all US military systems. the main villain can get his people anywhere in London in a minute or two.
2. the CIA is incompetent. the boss is an idiot who screams and yells. he can't try anything for more than 30 seconds before giving up and trying the next thing. he goes to a great extent to get the doctor to do the implant but ignores everything he says and defeats the whole effort and orders Jericho executed after 30 seconds of screaming at him. the Cia folks always go to the wrong place.
3. there are no police in London. Jericho goes around beating people up and stealing cars and no one calls the police.
4. the CIA has free reign to shoot up London and no one cares.
5. a cruise missile is also an anti aircraft missile.
