Review of Criminal (2016) by Jacques K — 27 Apr 2016
While the dialogue and cinematography are derivative mid 2000s Hollywood thriller the acting is decent (though not groundbreaking by any means) and the plot builds from a typical thriller to a sci-fi exploration of morality and its source.
The science seemed fairly believable to a skeptic like me although I am no expert on neuroscience by any means; nevertheless I found suspension of disbelief easy enough. The action is decent with very little of the typical 90's run and dodge bullets trope.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone not seeking an arty movie but rather good old fun with a few emotions to swing in the mix. 4/5.
