After EVIL DEAD hit pay-dirt. Dino Delaurentis gave Sam Raimi a comparitively larger amount of money to make a movie based on a wacky script that he wrote with the Coen Bros. He was still young and gonzo enough to go nuts with it.
This a lost treasure made before Sam became a serious (but still awsome) film-maker. Every line is quotable, every shot crazy. It's an old school Sam style that would be perfect for EVIL DEAD 4. (keep dreaming).
