Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Sara E — 28 Dec 2007
Great dialogue in a terrific Woody Allen film. Such a complex screenplay, blending comedy and tragedy. One of the best scenes ever is the final one with Landau, reflecting on the nature of guilt that was shoved into our faces so often in classic films.
Guilt can go away - only movie star villains suffer forever.
