Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Megan D — 06 Apr 2008
Moral quandaries with wit to spare, and it's interesting to look at especially with the knowledge of Allen's 'Match Point.' This one has more delicious dialogue and a stronger ensemble, but to me Landau's section of the film holds much less thrill and exhilaration than its accompanying character arcs, although it's essential to the film's contemplations.
Definitely smart and quotable, and another career high point.
