Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Alan E — 08 Feb 2009
Excellent dark comedy from Woody Allen. Martin Landau is superb as the adulterous doctor who is being pursued by the woman he is cheating with, played by Angelica Houston. Houston's character is relentless and wants the doctor to marry her.
Landau's character is faced with a life-changing descision: Risk losing his profession and family and admit to the affair, or save his reputation by having her killed. Excellent story with an amazing cast.
My favorite Woody Allen film.
