Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Simeon M — 01 May 2009
The writing was at times almost a little too real, bordering on "slow-moving." Thankfully, Woody Allen's character kept this from being a completely introspective and dingy "crime and punishment" re-vamp.
It's not that Landau's side of the plot wasn't well-written or interesting; his performance just didn't grip me, for whatever reason. Absolutely loved the ending - other than the comic moments, the ending was probably what made this movie for me.
