Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Michael L — 09 Oct 2010
This is Woody Allen's most profound and complex film and his most brilliant. He tackles the nature of morality and self-deceit in this awesome script and he makes some frightening and insightful observations about we fool ourselves into believing we're good.
Despite the subject matter he never loses his sense of absurd humour or deft touch. A masterpiece.
