Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Todd F — 24 Feb 2008
Morality is in question this time in this 2 in one story. The one with Landau plays in deadpan seriousness and Allen's storyline juxtaposes the other with a more comedic approach. Outlandish film that doesnt shy away from serious topics.
Will have you discussing things way after its done. One of Woody's best. Also, Matchpoint is in ways a simplification of one topic presented in this film. Thats how encompassing this film is.
