Review of Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989) by Aj C — 05 Dec 2009
A brilliant, engaging, provocative and well-written film that is also a thorough entertainer. A major highlight is the contemplative mood of the film, especially towards the latter part, where the protagonist's actions are weighed and measured, but final judgment is left to the viewer.
This is indubitably one of Woody Allen's finest films, especially when juxtaposed with some of his 90's output.
