Review of Cries and Whispers (1972) by Peter S — 04 Apr 2008
This film was a masterpeice, one of the best from Bergma's latter-day works. The story of three sisters torn apart and brought together by death, this film manages to communicate a world of emotions in simple close-ups and conversation.
A must see for anyone fascinated with the cinemas potential for art.
