This film was ok. The ending more or less made the film. I did however like the rich, vibrant colors Bergman used this time around (as opposed to his strict other black and white films). The massive presence of red was appealing and symbolic in away of the death to come and the love that was in turmoil between all the characters.

The red fades were also pretty different, adding more to the presence of red.

The story itself was...well...as I've said, it was hard to follow at certain points, but the ending sort of "made the film" and allowed me to understand and appreciate the sentimental message of it.

All in all...this was a pretty decent film and I am glad I watched it, however I won't be rushing out to add it to my library anytime soon...I prefer other Bergman works over this one.
