Review of Cries and Whispers (1972) by Jesse G — 09 Mar 2009
The most beautiful film Bergman ever shot, an emotional, haunting experience about two sisters dealing with their sister's impending death. It may be slow moving, but if you let yourself become engrossed in the incredibly shot interiors and back stories for each character, not many films can top this for emotional impact.
Also features one disturbing scene involving a piece of glass.
