An obscure atmospheric thriller from England's famous Hammer studios that was distributed by Warner Bros-7 Artists. It actually played as part of a double bill with Hammer's DRACULA AD 1972. Stefanie Powers had previously starred in Hammer's DIE, DIE MY DARLING.

In this film she is a music student who comes to the south of France to work on her thesis on a deceased American composer. She stays at the late composer's villa and meets his drug-addicted son (James Olson) who is in a wheelchair and has vivid nightmares.

Stefanie's character resembles Olson's long lost love. And what's going on with the strains of an unfinished concerto and a smashed mannequin. This film is now available on DVD as part of Warner's 'Archive Collection.

' It is one Hammer's better mini-Hitchcocks.
