Review of Creepshow (1982) by Dan B — 25 Feb 2008
King, Romero and Savini join forces for one of the most purely entertaining horror movies of all time. I loved it then, I love it now (yes, even the Jordy Verrill segment). It's has a few genuinely good scares, but is always fun rather than terrifying - like a really well put together ghost ride.
Great cast (mostly) - E.G. Marshall rocks. And a young Ed Harris does arguably the stupidest dancing face in cinema history. I'm a sucker for portmanteau horrors and this is my second favourite. DVD is well presented with a good transfer and a feature length documentary.
Sheer ghoulish joy.
