Review of Creepshow (1982) by Adam E — 17 Feb 2009
Creepshow is everything you'd expect from a cheesy horror comic book adaptation by Stephen King and Romero: gory, fun and very silly. Unlike other 80s slasher movies this stands out by having 5 short stories told in true comic book style.
The most fun though is the dated special effects and the unexpected cast. Leslie Nielsen as a creepy serial killer, Ted Danson as a water ghoul, Ed Harris against an old zombie, Stephen King as a plant hillbilly.
..you get the idea. Overall, Creepshow could have been much better and much funnier but as it stands it's quirky enough to entertain. Good fun.
