Review of Creepshow (1982) by Ken S — 23 Feb 2014
George A. Romero and Stephen King team up for this anthology horror film that is really fun. The stories and the visuals harken back to old horror comics likes "Tales from the Crypt" (before that became its own TV show).
Some solid horror and a few wonderful tongue and cheek humor make this film utterly enjoyable from start to finish. Usually anthology films are a hit or miss affair, you can't win them all, but I have to say I think "Creepshow" was far more consistent than usual.
Probably since its screenplay was written by one man, the film itself was directed by one guy with one visual sense and a similar sense of pacing. I enjoyed it a fair bit.
