A solid followup to Creep (2015). Creep 2 is very similar to the premise of the first film, but somewhat kinda throws the viewer off by introducing a new element into the film by way of a strong female protagonist.

This time around Sara (Desiree Akhavan) is trying to make a hit show on Youtube called Encounters where she meets lonely guys and tries to understand them. This has her come across an ad on craigslist from a man named Aaron (Mark Duplass) {who previously went by Josef in the first film}.

Aaron tells Sara he's a serial killer and that he wants her to make a documentary on his life. Sara doesn't believe this at all and goes along with it since this could be a good piece for her show.

Before long Sara begins to realize maybe there's more to Aaron's lies than she first thought. So I will say the first film is creepier than this one, but overall I liked the story in this one better.

Duplass once again does a great job being a super creepy ass dude. Akhavan isn't the greatest actor here, but I liked that she's a very strong protagonist and see's through so much of Aaron's lies.

She compliments his character very well. There's definitely less jump scares and I would say this really isn't horror, it's more of a psychological thriller that like last time it leaves you at the edge of your seat kind of feel.

I would definitely say don't watch this unless you've seen the first one (since it ruins a lot of that film), but if you enjoyed the first film give this one a look as well!
