It has moments of good directing, acting, and cinematography. Both actors look amazing...The whole thing just feels so redundant. Nothing surprising happens. Predictable, repetitive, anticlimactic, bland, vacuous, boxing movie.
The central conflict is toilet paper thin. The montages are so typical and reused, it almost feels like a parody. The boxing genre is a failed genre at this point.
