A really damn good movie, that hits pretty hard emotionally, more than most of the other Rocky movies.
While Michael B. Jordan was fantastic here, Sylvester Stallone stole the show with a calm, confident, nuanced performance.
He showed emotion, and really sold his performance without overdoing it.
The movie is about Rocky training Apollo Creeds son, and the challenges along the way.
The movie starts out really good and sets a good tone. There was a certain level of predictability but it was overshadowed by the heart the movie showed.
Being a fan of the previous Rocky movies, I thought this one ranks right up there with the original. The movie brought me to tears at certain points, and inspired/excited me.
Another thing to mention is the fight sequences. They were done flawlessly without the cheesiness of the old films.
Damn good movie, with good heart and inspiration, fueled by fantastic performances.
