Review of Creed (2015) by Ben B — 24 Apr 2016
As a fan of the Rocky franchise and of Ryan Coogler, I had very high expectations for this movie. I can honestly say that Creed met those expectations and then some. There isn't one thing about this movie I didn't love - the cinematography is gorgeous, the acting is superb, and the score enhances the experience.
The best part of this movie is how the characters are developed. Jordan, Stallone, and Thompson are easy to cheer for, and the final fight is as tense as any sports movie. I didn't expect to say this going into the film, but Creed is more than just the best installment in the Rocky franchise; it's the best sports movie of all-time.
