Review of Creed (2015) by Tms S — 28 May 2016

I'm by no means a massive fan of this franchise, finding parts 1-5 equally as tedious as fun, but I enjoyed Rocky Balboa, and this one too. Make no mistake, despite the title, and promotion of Jordan as the lead, this is Stallone's film.

He is nothing short of excellent here, with Rocky now an aging loner, Sly clearly gives his all, but with no show-boating at all. Its worth seeing, if only for him. You still root for Balboa, but in a different way here.

Stallone totally deserves the acclaim, and for me it's easily the performance of his career. Its also a bonus that the film is quite well written, with characters well developed. Though the fight scenes, for me, couldve been better, it's still a more than worthy entry to the Rocky saga.
