It's not as good as everyone made out it was. The thing is with boxing movies is that there's a lot of competition. You have to do something really different or have a really strong story. Unfortunately Creed's story isn't interesting enough.
The character of Rocky Balboa really has nothing left to bring to the table. He's featured in 7 films now and it would be hard to keep any character interesting after all that time. In my opinion Cinderella man, Rocky and the fighter are the three best boxing movies.
There's not a lot that can stand up against them.
