Review of Creed (2015) by Lou A — 25 Oct 2017
Easily the greatest film of this franchise, minus the original Rocky, and arguably even better than that film in many ways. Jordan portrays a relatable character to root for, with plenty of layers and internal conflicts.
He and Stallone also have a touching connection, that makes the film feel raw and authentic. Stallone even plays his iconic role better than he ever has before, and fights in new ways besides just in the ring.
The boxing matches themselves are choreographed and filmed impeccably, and put one on the edge of their seats. This film is a tremendous crowd-pleaser and warms audiences' hearts while also making them want to cheer.
