Review of Creed (2015) by Ivan J — 14 Dec 2018
The fight scenes are epic - ridiculously epic. This Rocky but a better quality so it is gonna be good. It didn't like the relationship between Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson character. I didn't like the characters I guess it was just the amount of unnecessary screen time they had with each other that made the movie longer then it should've been. The Creed II trailer has been released and I kind of hope, mainly for those fighting scenes. I like what they did with Rocky been diagnosed with cancer because it makes Michael B's character struggle to deal with the problem of Rocky's possible death and fighting his childhood bully. Well, I think. The big problem with this is that it was confusing to understand the plot when so many things were happening. And the start of the film showing the guy who he is fighting in the film looked way to similar to each other as a kid - not racial reasons. If you loved the training scenes in Rocky, you'll love this one. I would recommend if you are into Rocky. Also, you don't have to watch all 6 Rocky films to understand the plot. I would age this strong language, sex scenes, and in between mild and moderate gore.
Grade: B.
