Review of Creed (2015) by John G — 29 Apr 2017
Extremely disappointing; started out well and had promise...then came the cliched schlock -- ridiculous love story, ridiculous scene with the bikes outside Rocky's window, Rocky gets cancer & doesn't want chemo but kid tells him he has to do it, ridiculous fight sequences that paled in comparison to the 1st two Rocky movies (and they were laughable in their semblance to reality), the mug who played the champ Conlan was god-awful (who remotely cared about him one way or the other?!), then, oh, here's a surprise, Adonis loses the decision (where did they come up with that?!) and all's right with the world.
Man, I was laughing and rolling my eyes so much during the second half of the movie -- what a huge letdown!
