Review of Creed (2015) by Sean O — 30 Apr 2016

Stallone was absolutely robbed at the Oscars, and his role in this movie doesn't seem "supporting" to me, anyway. As a Rocky fan since the beginning, my only negative take on this film was that it portrayed Balboa as too, well.

.. WEAK. I find it very hard to believe that the hard-headed 'Italian Stallion' could ever become so tired and flaccid. My great grandpa had more fire in him at age 92. Stallone is still built like a tank, and could clearly still take care of business if he needed to.

The whole time, I was waiting for Rocky to come out of his shell and punch someone (ala Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid). It would have received a huge cheer from the theater audience...
