Review of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) by Sam B — 01 May 2008

I initially thought this movie would be full of cheesy effects and quite lame. I was wrong, to some degree. The Creature's costume was lacking at times but, hey, the film was made in the 50's. I was surprised that there were moments when I was actually a little nervous for the character's.

The film does a great job of holding on to the suspense and delivers pretty well. Overall a good film considering when it was made. I was pleasantly surprised and can see why it's a classic.
