A definitive classic in the realms of creature features and B-movies. nonetheless, I actually found this film to be quite dull. it doesn't quite have the camp value and unintentional hilarity that some of its contemporaries have.
even in under 80 minutes, the story seems very thin and repetitive and it never really offers us a sympathetic character--human or monster. although it's a near-perfect fit into the 50s sci-fi mold, this film's commercial value definitely far supercedes its actual entertainment value.
