Review of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) by Eric H — 03 Jan 2013

There are so many wonderful things about this movie. The creature costume is really wonderful, the music is awesome, the characters work surprisingly well, and the storyline itself is well-paced and very dramatic.

And man, Ricou Browning can swim! That scene with him and Julie Andrews is seriously incredible. I'm not sure if I love this movie so much because it's so objectively good, or because I watched it so much as a kid, but I seriously have a thing for this.
