Review of Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011) by Mike S — 07 Sep 2014
A nice ensemble rom-com, with generally good performances, but a weak story. A mid-life couple goes through a divorce. Their son has a crush on the babysitter, who has a crush on the divorcing husband.
Meanwhile, in what seems to be an almost unrelated sub-plot, a womanizer who gives the newly divorced husband dating tips falls in love for the first time and doesn't know how to handle it. Individual scenes range from funny to thoughtful to sentimental, but they don't quite gel into a believable movie.
