Review of Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011) by Tr J — 30 May 2015

The key word to describe this film is the second word in the title--stupid. The scenes vary from predictable to contrived to preposterous. Stereotypes and insulting depictions of women in particular make this movie more than a bit offensive to anyone with even half of a brain or any sophistication in their thinking.

This should play well on TV, where it fits nicely with the kind of phony manipulations of an audience and lame comic sensibility that dominate that medium.
