Though slightly overlong and rich in cliches (some might even say stereotypes), this endearing offering sufficiently entertains and charms with its many humorous and touching moments. While this is far from groundbreaking cinema, the film nevertheless provides ample laughs and heart-tugging sequences that leave viewers pleasantly satisfied.

It's also heartening to see a film provide an adequate showcase for an underserved and vastly underrepresented cinematic constituency. Enjoy this one for what it has to offer; just don't expect it to go down in the annals of filmmaking.
