Review of Crazy Rich Asians (2018) by Moon G — 08 Sep 2018

*spoilers*.

Pros: Excellent tourist advertisement for Singapore with enticing views, scrumptious displays of yummy foods, and an overall unique cultural experience.

Cons: The actual story. It is the basic poor girl, rich guy plot where she didn't know he was rich until one of her friends (not her rich boyfriend) tells her. She gets (a little) mad, he says he's sorry and it was wrong not to tell her, they make up, family drama, and he proposes and gets accepted in the end.

My Thoughts: What if the boyfriend was extremely poor, instead of rich, and was keeping it a secret from her until she finds out through a friend or something? Would she still decide to marry him because "love conquers all" or would she leave him?
