Definitely a rom-com, but masterfully written to be lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek rather than heavy-handed... a testament to the deft Asian touch. Most importantly, incredible to see people that look like me on the big screen as more than just a punchline as a math nerd or emasculated buffoon.

The film navigates Asian family values and gender dynamics in a more nuanced and thoughtful way than any mainstream American film to-date, Incredibly tricky within the medium of a corny romantic comedy, but they pull it off nonetheless.
