Review of Crazy People (1990) by Jack Y — 26 Jul 2007
Where do all the crazy ads on TV come from? This movie tries to answer that: mental patients. When ad man Moore is committed after doing a series of ads that tell the inherent truth about products (Jaguar.
For men who want hand jobs from beautiful women they hardly know), he falls in love with Hannah and cant bear to leave the sanitorium. Solution: hire fellow patients to be ad men. Great humour, with Moore perfect in his part.
Reiser is in sidekick mode as usual, and top marks to J. T. Walsh as the ad boss who tries to cheat the patients out of their rewards.
