Review of Crazy Heart (2009) by Emma N — 05 Feb 2011

This wasn't an unpleasant movie. I can't say I was entertained. Jeff Bridges is always likable. This film didn't have a climax. The characters were well shaded but there was barely a plot. I think Crazy Heart had the exact opposite problem as Christpher Nolan's Inception.

It was all plot and bad characters. You have to have a balance of both. If these filmmakers got together and made Crazy Heartception is could be an amazing film. Imagine, a drunk old man gets conked out.

DiCaprio has to get inside of his head 3 layers deep to get him to write the best song ever! Wow! That's a hit.
